Okay, so everyone these days is trying to cut down on the gas consumption due to the high fuel cost that we are sanctioned to pay. So I decided for the past couple months to buy my groceries off of the local groceries store ad's that give gas rewards points. The gas rewards points equal savings in the cost of a gallon of gas. Last month I had earned over $1.20 off a gallon of gas (thats is roughly 1,200 reward points). So I was totally excited to pay $2.02 a galloon. I waited until my gas light came on, drove around for a couple days on empty and then decided to "pump it up"!
Well, here is my receipt
So as you can see I must drive a small 12 gallon tanker, (which makes me think looking at this photo, if I drove around on E for 2 days, I still had a little over a gallon of gas left)
Anyway.... so I filled up my gas tank on Feb 7.
Feb 11 I was at the gas station again!!! Going to work and back, about 18 miles round trip, perhaps a stop at the gym *add a tenth of a mile* and that was my commute for 4 and a half days. CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS!?!?!?
Stop & Shop has cheap gas! Now, I promise the details, and here they are. Since Feb 11, I have filled my gas tank full of Citgo gas (sorry I refuse to go to BP because they literally brought oil to America's shore). But Citgo gas is in my car till this day and today is Feb 21. Can you believe that!!! I admit I have a little under half a tank of gas, but seriously people.... seriously!
Stop getting gas and buying Stop & Shop rewards points, the gas is horrible, it runs through vehicles like water and you most likely will be paying more in the long run. So as we pump that $3.29 a gallon of grade 87, just think.... you could be paying double if you went to Stop & Shop!!
What is your gas story today? Are you angry towards the gas prices and how inflation truly shows the prices should not be going up.... but yet they are!
Till next time, save your pennies!
